WESTERN CANADIAN JUNIOR B CHAPIONSHIPS ARE BACK....

WESTERN CANADIAN JUNIOR B TEIR II CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE BACK AFTER 26 YEAR HIATUS

February 2nd, 2022 – We are excited to announce that the Western Canadian Junior B Championships are coming back after a hiatus of 26 years, as it was last won in 1995 by the Richmond Roadrunners. The inaugural year of competition for this event was 1968 when the Vancouver Cablevision took home first place.

The Western Canadian Junior B Championships is named the MacDonald Cup after long time BC Junior B Commissioner Fraser MacDonald, who spent over 3 decades as a volunteer and advocate for Junior B Lacrosse in British Columbia. The renamed championship MacDonald Cup will bring together 8 teams from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba from any Junior B leagues not competing for the National Founders Cup Championships.

This event will be held in the new arena at the Port Coquitlam Community Center from August 22-28, 2022. The active planning committee has members from all 4 provinces and is looking for volunteers and sponsors to make this a great event.
