Hello!

We're excited to announce that Brad Gelsvik and Gregg Parrent will be co-coaching the Kelowna Kodiaks Jr. B team season! They have a lot of great plans and we're looking forward to seeing them in action with this year's team.

From Gregg and Brad:

Brad and I are extremely excited about the upcoming season. We have been meeting a lot and have worked hard to create a plan for the season to give us the best opportunity for success and to grow the Jr. club in the long term. 

We have upcoming preseason floor time booked. If you plan on playing this season you must be at them. Just want to make it very clear they are not drop ins these are try outs!. We are planning on having a practice team and game team, If you want to be a part of the game team, power and short these sessions are extremely important. 

We are looking forward to a very productive season. We look forward to seeing you all out there.

We have arranged pre-season/tryout floor time in February and March (5 total) before transitioning to our regular practice schedule. The details are as follow:

Saturday Feb 17 @ 6-8pm Central Sports dome 

Saturday Feb 24 @ 7-9pm Rutland Dome

Monday, March 18 (6-7:30) MNP Turf 1
Friday, March 22 @ (6:30-8) MNP Turf 1
Monday, March 25 @ (6-7:30) MNP Turf 1

If you are interested in playing for the Kodiaks this season, these sessions should be considered mandatory as evaluation will be ongoing throughout all of them to help the coaches build the team. The fee for a pre-season will be $50 and must be submitted, along with waivers, prior to participating. The required forms are listed below.  Please ensure you are filling in the correct one. We will be holding a player/parent meeting closer to the start of the season but there are a few important points to know in preparation:

-Registration fees are $800 and players are strongly encouraged to pursue sponsorships to help cover this cost. Start exploring options early! Sponsorship letters will be made available with details shortly.
-We have set up an ongoing fundraiser with Columbia Bottle Depot for the team. Anyone can donate their recyclables to the team at any of the local depots. Just look up our team by entering 888-123-2024 and printing labels for your bags! Pass it on and thanks in advance for your support!
-Our new website should be up and running in the very near future. Watch social media for updates on when it's live so you can find more information on the team, schedule, sponsors and more.
